Hey, I'm Diego
I'm a photographer based in Denton, Texas currently studying Electrical Engineering at the University of North Texas.
Photography started as a personal project after setting a goal to visit all 63 national parks in the U.S. What began as a way to document those experiences and create something meaningful to look back on eventually grew into something much more — a way to connect with people and bring creative ideas to life through imagery.
Building something of my own has always been important to me and photography became the perfect way to turn that ambition into reality. I'm grateful for every person who trusts me with their vision, and I'm committed to creating work that feels intentional, personal, and lasting.
My style is heavily inspired by disposable cameras and old film photographs — the kind my parents would have developed when I was growing up. That influence is why I still choose to shoot with both mirrorless and film cameras today.
I think of my work as cinematic naturalism, creating images that feel honest, immersive, and emotionally grounded. By using the environment as part of the story, I aim to create photographs that feel like moments pulled from a memory — natural, nostalgic, and quietly cinematic.
Outside of photography, I spend most of my time exploring new places, playing music, and chasing the kind of light that makes ordinary moments feel unforgettable.
